“Will these classes help me get an edge for my upcoming competitive matches?”

Definitely. Our expert instructors will work with you to strengthen any weaknesses you have, exploit your strengths, improve your physical fitness and master your technique. Your opponents won’t know what hit’em.

“Can I still participate if I don’t want to be in tournaments or participate in MMA matches?”

Absolutely. For some, BJJ is a fun, kick-ass hobby. For others, it’s a way of life. And for others – it’s their career. Whatever your goals are, you’re more than welcome as long as you’re ready to have a great time, do some hard work, and learn the art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

“What’s the class-environment like here?”

In a nutshell: supportive, fun & focused. BJJ tends to have a “family-like” vibe. After all, you’re constantly challenging yourself, and striving to be your best in every class. This creates a real sense of camaraderie & team – which is part of the awesome BJJ experience.

“Are there women in the classes?”

Yes! While the majority of our BJJ students are men, there are women who come and have an awesome experience, too.

“Do people get injured a lot in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu?”

Not at all! You’ll be training in an extremely supportive, safe environment. No one wants to hurt anyone – and no one wants to get hurt. While injuries happen from time to time (just like with any sport), they’re the exception – not the rule.

“Can I still take Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes if I have a medical condition / past serious injury?”

Most people with medical conditions and past injuries can take BJJ without a hitch. However, we recommend speaking to your doctor first. He / she will know best. We’re also glad to work around your condition / injury in accordance with your doctor’s advice. Just let us know what your doctor says!

“What kind of physical shape does Brazilian Jiu Jitsu require?”

You can start BJJ (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu) no matter what kind of shape you’re currently in. Because it’s a great workout, you’ll get in awesome shape in no time.

“Why can’t I just do some ‘cardio’ instead of kickboxing?”

Cardio is only one part of the recipe for weight loss. Our program incorporates cardio along with other types of exercise to help you burn weight fast. Cardio by itself actually leads to your weight loss getting “stuck”. It takes different approaches & forms of exercise to really see results.

“How many classes per week should I attend?”

We recommend at least 2-3 for best results, but we encourage you to listen to your body and attend how ever much is right for you.

“Will your kickboxing class help me tone up?”

Definitely. Our entire program was handcrafted to help you get lean & toned. Literally every thing you do here helps you achieve this goal.

“Is your class a ‘cardio kickboxing’ class?”

No! These classes are very, very different from cardio kickboxing. It’s hard to describe how much different they are, but once you come in you’ll see for yourself 😉

“Will you help me with my nutritional habits?”

Absolutely. Nutrition is KEY to weight loss, and we’ll pass along the powerful knowledge we’ve put together over the years. (By the way, our nutrition program is all about naturally improving your diet – NOT forcing foods on you that you don’t like or starving yourself).

“Are there other beginners like me?”

Yes! Our classes cater to people of all experience levels, and in every class there are people all over the spectrum.

“How many people are in a group class?”

At peak times, there’s between 15-30. Some times have more, some less. But we make sure to have enough instructors to match the class size. That way you always get the attention you need.

“Are both group & private classes available?”

Most of our members enjoy the group setting, but private sessions are available too depending on instructor availability.

Can I try a class for free? What if I don’t like kickboxing?

We allow you, a new prospect, to choose one type of trial. We have several trials out there at different times and upon availability. You may choose a 3 class trial for $19.99, a 6 week trial for $99, OR you may purchase a Groupon if available. The last option is one FREE class. You may not come in for a Free class, then buy a 3 class trial and then a Groupon, you get the gist. We are, after all a business and if we let everyone keep coming for Free or Groupons we would not be in business very long 😉 It is common sense to most, but unfortunately it has to be written down 😉
